There is no wrong time to prepare for your future. In fact now may be the perfect time to work on your education and other career goals. This is sage advice for mothers in particular. The job sectors that are expected to rise will have many positions available that qualified workers can fill. Jobs in many technology-related areas will be in high demand for years. You’re reading this article on a computer, aren’t you? Then you know that computers and other tech are crucial in our jobs and society. It takes many people to develop these products as well as to help people use them. Several projections rank computer software engineering as one of the professions that is expected to rise greatly in the next five years. Analysts for computers and communications systems will also be in demand. Another career area that is sure to grow is healthcare. Doctors and nurses are the typical professions that people think of, but there are many more available. Athletic trainers, physical therapists and occupational therapists provide vital support for patients and will be very much needed. Addiction and behavioral counselors are also important careers. There are many fields that don’t require a medical degree but rather specialized training are specific coursework. Job growth and opportunity is lagging now, but expectations for the future are high. Financial planners and advisors, computer analysts and a number of other professions are important now and will continue to be so in the future. Having the right education will be crucial for landing a job in these areas. If you’re a mom reading this, the chance hasn’t passed you by to get the proper education for one of these careers. In 2009, President Obama introduced the Grants for Moms initiative. The ,000 allotment can be a big help in paying for a number of school-related costs. Now moms who want to advance their education can afford to get the degrees they want and need. Women have plenty of responsibility for caring for children and families, and hopefully the grants for moms can take some of the burden off trying to get an education.
